Randori Judo was formed in January 2018 and became a Social Enterprise in August 2018 under Randori Social Enterprises CIC (Community Interest Company). Our aim was to utilise the physical, psychological, social and emotional benefits of Judo to have a positive social impact for individuals, groups and families throughout Midlothian and bring people together. After adapting to the impact of COVID 19 which saw us losing all of our community venues we opened our very own Randori Dojo and completed a full organisational review and the Social Enterprise became Be Randori CIC in 2021. We provide low cost accessible and inclusive classes, events and projects as well as providing funded spaces and funded Active Schools Programs.
Unlike some other sports providers we do not focus on competition, performance and results. Our aim is to promote long term participation in Judo via our development pathways for recreation, competition, coaching and volunteering.
We teach Judo in a fun and safe learning environment which promotes Inclusion, understanding and positive behaviour. Our focus is on personal development, skill acquisition and a shared positive learning experience.
By being part of the Randori family we aim for all participants to Be Randori.
